If you’re like me, half of the pleasure from watching a movie or a series comes from hearing the musical score in the background. This music sets the mood, it introduces the characters, and it clues you into what will happen next. Anyone who’s cringed at the music in a B grade movie will understand what I mean about the importance of an appropriate score. Over the past couple of years, since I’ve become familiar with Turkish dizi’s, I’ve discovered that some of the most beautiful compositions I have heard are by Turkish musicians. There are few more talented composers in Turkey than Yildiray Gurgen.
In an earlier blogpost we introduced you to Yildiray Gurgen, the genius behind the music of the hit Turkish drama series, Siyah Beyaz Ask.
