
The second Netflix original series from Turkey, The Gift (Atiye), begins streaming on Netflix on December 27, 2019. The eight-episode mystery drama stars veteran actress Beren Saat in the role of Atiye, a young painter living in Istanbul. The cast also includes Mehmet Gunsur, Metin Akdulger, Melisa Senolsun, Basak Koklukaya, Civan Canova and Tim Seyfi.
The series follows the life of Atiye, who lives a perfect life: she has a loving family, a wealthy and lovable boyfriend, and she is about to open her first solo exhibition. But her life changes when Erhan, an archeologist discovers a symbol in the ruins of the most ancient temple on Earth, Gobeklitepe. A symbol that connects Atiye to Gobeklitepe in a very mysterious way. And now, Atiye will turn her life upside down in the quest to discover the secrets of her past.
The series was filmed in Istanbul and in various cities of Southeastern Anatolia, primarily in Gobeklitepe.
The Gift is produced by OG Medya for Netflix is directed by Ozan Aciktan and Gonenc Uyanik.
